What should you discuss when you meet?
Public information cannot tell you what daily care feels like. Use these topics for an initial conversation or visit.
Home and outdoor play
See where children play, eat and sleep, and ask about outdoor space, pets, smoking and safety arrangements.
Continuity and contact
Discuss regular childcare days, holidays, illness, replacement care and how you will stay in touch.
Costs and agreements
Ask for a clear explanation of the hourly rate, agency and meal costs, childcare hours and cancellation terms.
An LRK registration and GGD report are important checks, but do not replace an introduction. Visit the location and decide whether the interaction and daily practice suit your child.
